What We Do

Snow Machine Rentals

The Sno-Moto Bikes are very beginner-friendly and it is quite easy for a new rider to control and manoeuvre them in terrain where it takes, at the least, intermediate skills to ride a snowmobile.

More advanced riders will be astonished at the freedom and new terrain these bikes will take you to. The backcountry becomes like a motocross/ freestyle park with extremely soft landings.

Freeride Adventures

Picture a typical day on the Sno-Motos with amazing tree riding, incredible deep descents, open pow fields, extremely easy and endless side-hilling as well as creek beds, jumps, bumps and features that are sure to make you smile. Imagine being able to thread through trees without the concern of catching skis or A-arms on stumps, trunks or branches.

This is a three-night, two-day all inclusive experience which includes your lodging, meals, and instruction/riding camp. These camps are designed for intermediate to advanced riders who want to raise their game to a whole new level. Camps take place with different pro riders in separate locations. Sno-Moto Adventures is a new style and sport where you can explore the big mountains and backcountry with a track-driven, super-light, and powerful motorbike.

Based in Whistler, BC, our fleet of KTM 450 four strokes are tricked out with the latest Timbersled Kits and super fat, triple rib carbide skis along with:

  • Recluse Clutches, for clutch free shifting and drive initiation
  • Larger gas tank and extra jerry can
  • Fat pegs for greater foot surface area
  • Cyclops 6 beam LED headlight
  • Tricked suspension for better handling
  • Electric start
  • Hand warmers

Along with others, these mods make these bikes extremely manoeuvrable, very powerful and able to rip through waist deep pow and everything the mountains have to offer.

If you happen to be a dirt-biker that has been tantalized by the snowfields, this is your chance to jump aboard with almost no learning-curve.

So… after blasting through some technical trees, you crest the top of the slope where you pull a sweet banked carve and head downhill with pow bellowing around your fender and over your head. Carving rhythmic or intricate lines is not a problem with these machines with the super fat ski and trick front suspension. Half way down the slope, after boosting of some pillows and floaters, you decide to side-hill through some steep terrain and trees which seems almost effortless. After side-hilling for quite a distance, you stop the bike on an incredibly steep slope with ease while you catch your breath and grab a drink. Now you look around to see if your friend on the sled has followed – but he’s not there…..

If you’re looking for the next new incredibly fun adventure, come check out Sno-Moto Adventures where you’re sure to have a perma-grin on your face all day long!

This freeride adventure is designed for the intermediate to advanced rider. I will be taking my clients through all types of areas so they should have the ability and basic skill level to negotiate most mountainous terrain. In this epic tour, I will showcase what Whistler has to offer, taking you to all my favourite zones and stashes, giving you an opportunity to see where a lot of our film footage was captured from. This is one of the most epic adventures that I will take you on. I will adjust the routes and terrain according to your ability so you can push your limits and your adrenaline level and come home safe at the end of the day.

This amazing journey starts early morning around 7am when we meet up for a high energy breakfast and talk about what the day will consist of. Here we can put together an overview of what you can expect and I can get an understanding of your comfort level to better suit your riding style. The riding adventure can contain many different elements including gladed forests, open meadows, chutes, steep and deep descents, snow filled creek lines, powdered glaciers and tight technical boon-docking. We will also cover avalanche awareness with beacon searches and recovery techniques.

We start our adventure at the base camp were we will do a once over on safety gear and sled setups. From here it’s a short rip up into the alpine to our riding area where the choices are endless. We can go “right” into awesome gladed forests or “left” to rolling steep meadows, or we can go straight ahead to the glaciers and high country. This riding area is vast and has all the elements that are sure to give you the best experience you could imagine!

We have two private mountain cabins to choose from, to use for lunch or just to take a break from the elements and re-charge our energy levels in style. With a big BBQ, wood stove, plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere, you will have to remind yourself that you’re still in the back-country. Lunches can be prearranged or you can pack your own specialized lunch.

When dusk starts to set in or your satisfaction level reaches its peak, our adventure is coming to an end. We will descend back to the base camp where we can relax and talk about our day, photos and any other plans for the night or even the next day. Over the coarse of the day, I will be taking photos and video which I can forward to you through e-mail.

Your Freeride Adventure Includes

  • A full day of one-on-one instruction with Geoff Kyle
  • Lunch in a private mountain cabin
  • Access to some of the best kept mountain secrets

Having Geoff as a guide is a must. All the spots he knows, like the pow bowls, cabins and ice caves makes it all worth it!

Whistler has been the centrepiece for a lot of the segments in all the top sled films like Slednecks, 2 Stroke Cold Smoke, and Roops of Hazard. This riding area has a vast territory and a huge variety of terrain.

Who Is Geoff Kyle?

24 Years Mountain Experience

My name is Geoff Kyle and this has been my playground for the past 20 years. I have explored and shredded this terrain for more than half my life and found some of the most amazing secret spots the mountains have to offer.

From the time I arrived in Whistler I’ve had careers as[a] a fishing guide, river guide and a snowmobile guide for high-end adventure companies. Guiding and teaching are second nature to me. I want to show people the incredible places I’ve been and take them on the amazing journey to get them there.

Originally from Halifax Nova Scotia, I moved to Whistler in 1992. I managed to land two great jobs right away working for Whistler Mountain in the day and a heli-ski company in the evenings. After having the benefit of heli-skiing the ski hill didn’t seem as appealing for me anymore. Shortly thereafter, I picked up my first Ski-Doo in 1994. This was the perfect machine to get me into the mountains so I could ski untracked lines all day long.

After trial and error, disappointment and success, I started to put the skills together I needed to enjoy the mountains and make it back home at the end of the day. After a couple of seasons, I started leaving my skis at home. My addiction to adrenaline and adventure exploded. My risk factor went up and I found myself taking gnarlier and more aggressive lines on my sled.

After years or riding and learning from other experienced riders like Rob Alford (one of the best technical riders I know), I started my filming career as a big mountain freeride sledder in 2000. Each year, progressing and pushing the boundaries was a must.
I feel that with my 18 years experience of sledding in some of the most epic conditions and terrain gives me the ability to bring other sledders closer to the skill level it takes to conquer what the back-country has to offer.

Some of my other hobbies include: Dirt biking, fishing, hunting, downhill mountain biking and golfing.

Film experience

I have been featured in over 30 films, including:

  • Slednecks

  • 2 Stroke Cold Smoke

  • Sled Heads

  • Braaap

  • Roops of Hazards

  • Turnigan Hardcore

  • Travis Pastrana’s Nitro Circus

  • Team Snow Quest

  • Compound Films
